Import

Bring your history from Strong or Hevy.

Export a CSV from your old app. athlate shows what it found, then adds it to your log.

Your history comes with you

Switching training apps should not mean starting from zero. athlate reads the file you export from your old app and adds the sessions to your log, so your first session here becomes a point on a curve that already exists.

The import reads CSV exports from Strong, Hevy, JEFIT, StrengthLog, Fitbod and MyFitnessPal, and athlate’s own export. Hevy can also be connected directly.

How it works

  1. Export from your old app. In Strong and Hevy the export is a CSV file. Save it to your phone.
  2. Open Account in athlate and choose Import from CSV, under File import. Pick the file.
  3. Look at the preview. athlate shows how many sessions, exercises and sets it found, and the date range, before anything is added.
  4. Confirm with Import into log. Rows that are already in your log are skipped, so running the import twice does not double anything.

What to expect

Exercises that match athlate’s library are linked to it. Exercises athlate does not recognise are logged under the name from your file, and the import tells you which ones. Weights are stored in kilograms, and pounds in the file are converted.

Your history stays your own. It is used for your charts, your estimated one-rep max and, if you use Rytme, for the plan Rytme builds from what you have actually lifted.

Coming from another app?

If your app is not in the list, export a CSV and try it anyway: the import looks at the column names and units in the file. If it finds nothing, it says so and changes nothing. You can also write to hey@athlate.com.
