Hevy, from Hevy Studios S.L. in Spain, is one of the most used workout loggers, with a social feed, watch apps and a separate coaching product. athlate is a training log built as a spreadsheet. Here is how they compare.

Where Hevy is better
- Cheaper Pro, and a lifetime option. athlate has no lifetime purchase.
- Watch apps for Apple Watch and Wear OS. athlate has none.
- About 400 exercises with video, against athlate's 228 without video.
- An established coaching product and a much larger community. Hevy says it has 16 million athletes.
- Sets per muscle while you build a routine. athlate does not show that in the program sheet.
- It is out, on both platforms. athlate is still on a waitlist.
Where athlate is ahead
Where athlate is ahead: more active programs on the free plan, progression rules and formulas in the cell, export to Excel and PDF, and importing your Hevy history, from the CSV file or straight from the Hevy API.
