Terms of use

The service

athlate is a training log made by Lyskamm Invest AS, a company registered in Norway. These terms cover the app, the athlate.com website and the beta we run in TestFlight. Using athlate means you accept these terms.

Your account

You must give us accurate information, and you are responsible for what happens on your account. Keep your login to yourself. You must be at least 16 to create an account.

How the service may be used

Do not post content that is unlawful, threatening, hateful or that infringes anyone's rights. Do not upload photos of other people without their consent. Do not try to break into the service, extract data automatically at a scale that affects operations, or send unsolicited messages through our features.

We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and for harassing others. You can report a session, a comment or a profile, and block a person, right in the app. We look at every report within 24 hours, remove content that breaks these terms, and close the account of whoever posted it.

Your content

The training data and content you put in is yours. You give us the limited right we need to store it and show it back to you, and to show it to the people you choose to share it with. We use it for nothing else.

Rytme and training suggestions

Rytme suggests programmes and adjustments using language models. The suggestions are guidance, not fact, and they can be wrong.

athlate is not health care

athlate is a tool for logging and planning training. It is not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Talk to a doctor or another qualified health professional before starting a new training programme, particularly if you are injured, pregnant or have a known condition. You train at your own risk.

Connected services

If you connect athlate to Apple Health, Health Connect, Polar, Whoop, Oura, Strava or your own cloud storage, their terms govern their part. We are not answerable for their availability or for what they do with their data.

Our part of the agreement

We try to keep the service up and your data safe, but we do not promise that it is never down or always free of faults. Features can change, and beta features can disappear again. We provide the service as it is.

Liability

So far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of athlate, such as lost profit or lost data. Nothing here limits liability we cannot limit under Norwegian law, and your consumer rights apply regardless.

Ending the agreement

You can stop whenever you like, and delete your account from the app. How to delete your account. We may close an account for material breach of these terms, and we will tell you if we do.

Price and subscription

athlate is free to use. The training log, the programmes and the statistics cost nothing, and what you have put in is always available to you.

Rytme, which builds and adjusts programmes for you, has a free tier with a limited number of drafts. The app shows how many you have left. If you want more, you can buy the Rytme subscription inside the app.

Rytme is sold in two lengths: one month at NOK 149, or one year at NOK 1,490. If you buy from another country, the App Store or Google Play sets the price in your own currency. The price the app shows you before you confirm is always the one that applies.

The purchase goes through Apple, and the amount is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm. The subscription renews automatically for the same length, and Apple charges for the next period up to 24 hours before the current one ends, unless you have cancelled before then.

You cancel in your phone's settings, under your Apple ID, not inside athlate. Open Settings, tap your name at the top, and choose Subscriptions. If you cancel, you keep access for the period you have paid for, and it does not renew. Refunds are decided by Apple under their own rules, not by us.

If the subscription runs out, you go back to the free tier. Everything you have put in stays, and your training data is untouched.

If we change the price of a running subscription, we tell you in advance. If the price goes up, Apple asks you to accept the new price before it can be charged.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. The date at the top shows when that last happened, and we will tell you in the app or by email about material changes.

Governing law

Norwegian law applies, and disputes belong before the Norwegian courts. If you are a consumer in another country, mandatory consumer rules there apply in addition.
